Visiting the Blue Lakes

Blue lakes are lost in the forest 10 kilometers from the city. This is a very special place - almost magical: just look at the iridescent blue color of the water. It is absolutely transparent because there is no plankton in it: the water is very cold - even in the warm season its temperature barely reaches +4 degrees. Therefore, to dive into the water, you need to have a special “warm” wetsuit. Without it, they say, you can freeze to death in just twenty minutes. The water is so cold because of the icy springs at the bottom of the lake. The lake is a neat funnel 17 meters deep - it looks like a meteorite crater. The water in the lake is mineral - it is these minerals that color the water light blue. If you try water from the Blue Lakes, it will taste exactly the same as mineral water from the store.
