During the tour we will discover the amazing history of Kazan, old mansions, trading houses, industrial and cultural buildings of the 19th and early 20th centuries form the historic city centre. We will stroll along the pedestrian Bauman street, Old-Tatar settlement, Marjani Mosque, Kaban Lake, Tatar Drama Theatre, Millennium park, Bulak Canal, Bauman St. The Kazan Kremlin is the unique Complex of Archeological, Historical and Architectural Monuments arisen and functioning from the basis of a city up to now. In 2000 year the Kazan Kremlin has been included into the List of the UNESCO World Cultural and Natural Heritage. Objects of the Complex are under the authority of the “Kazan Kremlin State Historic-Architectural and Art Museum Reservation”. The Kul-Sharif Mosque is the Greatest Mosque within the territory of Russia. It has been constructed in 2005 year due to the date of celebrating the Kazan Millennium. The Annunciation Cathedral is the Monument of History and Architecture of XVI century. It was open after restoration. There is the Architectural Symbol of the city which is located in the Kremlin. It is the Soyembike Tower, the one of a few "falling" towers in the world.

Sviyazhsk was built by Ivan the Terrible as a fortification for the conquest of the Kazan Khanate in 1552. The island’s churches are famous for their unique frescoes from the late Middle Ages (The Troitskaya Church, The Sergievskaya Cathedral, The Church of Saints Constantine and Helen, The Chapel, The City Cathedral of the Blessed Virgin’s Nativity, The Stable yard).

Complex “Lazy Torzhok” offers a plunge into the atmoshere of the Middle Ages of Sviyazhsk, see the military battles of past eras, visit the role of warrior and enjoy medieval cuisine. Here you can buy souvenirs and see the work of such artisans as a blacksmith, potter, tanner, jeweler.

Six functioning churches (The Church of the Georgian Virgin Icon, The Trinity Cathedral); the monastery's holy relic is a copy of the Georgian Virgin Icon of the late 17th century. The monastery is located on the shores of Lake Raifa in a picturesque forest, part of the Volga-Kama Preserve, established in 1960. There is a holy spring in the monastery complex.

The Bolgar Museum and Preserve contains the ruins of the ancient Bolgar capital of Mongolian period (the 13th and 14th centuries). You will visit the Cathedral Mosque (only its foundation has been preserved) and the Great Minaret, the Northern Mausoleum, and the Eastern Mausoleum (including the Black, White, and Red Chambers and the Small Minaret). You will also visit the archaeological museum in the building of the 18th century – the former Church of Assumption. The complex is a wonderful testimony of historical change and cultural diversity, is a symbolic reminder of the spread of Islam, from the Volga Bulgars, who embraced Islam in 922 new times to modern Muslim Tatars. The place is sacred and revered place of pilgrimage. June 23, there was decided to include the Bolgar Historical and Archaeological Complex in the UNESCO World Heritage List. It became the 1002nd object included in the list at the regular meeting of the 38th session of the UNESCO World Heritage Committee, held in Doha, Qatar.

Excursion on the Old-Tatar settlement is opportunity to see Kazan in style of 18-19 centuries. You can visit museum of the Tatar poet Gabdulla Tukaya, a house-museum of the Kayum Nasyri in the Old-Tatar settlement. In 1992 the Tatar settlement received the status of the architectural and historical reserved territory of the Tatar academic theater of Galiaskar Kamal.

The old Bauman Street is the main pedestrian thoroughfare in Kazan. It is the city’s tourist quarter, complete with restaurants, fountains, street sculptures, small trades and souvenir shops. You can listen to street musicians, get yourself a portrait, have ice-cream in summer and a hot broth with local specialty “echpochmak” pies in winter. Theatre and dance performances are common, and street musicians and artists are a permanent fixture. Day and night, the Bauman Street is full of people, sounds and colours.
